Activism Through An Intergenerational Lens

As our community faces a myriad of challenges from the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, voter suppression, police brutality, and violence from emboldened white supremacists, activism is more important than ever. Dynamic and seasoned activists, Dr. Hazel Dukes and Tamika Mallory, will be joined by Tyler Best and Follyvi Dossa, two young members of 100 Black Men’s Junior 100 just embarking on their activism journey. We will explore questions such as: How does one’s generation influence one’s activism? What can leaders who came of age in the struggles of the 20th century teach younger leaders? And what can more experienced activists learn from young leaders? Click flyer to register.

The Big Apple Cluster of The Links, Incorporated Presents: From the Frontlines:The Virus, the Vaccine, and the Voices of Our Community

Covid-19 Forum Header-updatedheader3.png

A year after COVID-19 was found in the U.S., the virus continues to disproportionately affect communities of color. More than ever, we need to have critical conversations about the efficacy of the vaccine available to combat the virus. Our frontline doctors and Link sisters with lived experiences will share their knowledge, to help us be better informed, so together we can contain the disease’s spread and continue safe practices.

You can register for the forum here.
